Leave it outside the dumpster. No matter how ratty it is, you'd be surprised how many people will take it home.

No especially in most apartments..Just place it near the dumpster.

Yes because someone rents them, not for your use. If it's an apartment complex, go for it. I've done it, many people get rid of stuff this way.

ummm... i think that you can... if its in your dumpster or a sump but if its just in someone else's i don't think you can =]
