Porsche has the highest customer satisfaction rating in the world. It's a German car. they ove engineer everything. I think you will find it is quite possible with regular maintenance to get much more then 100k out of it.
I have two BMWs, one has 300 km on it already and still drives and runs like a dream. Have fun with it.

theyre great cars, but getting one in an automatic should be against the law. Theyre drivers cars meant for the track.

the price isnt bad though, and theyre pretty reliable. you dont see many with that high of miles, so its hard to tell, but id imagine it could no problem.

i personally wouldnt buy it though. Id buy an 01ish 911. theyre faster, 8-9 grand cheaper, more stylish, and are just as realible. Not to mention much more rewarding to learn to drive.

if you just want the car because it has a fancy name (porsche), and its a convertable, you might want to question why you want the car. Miatas do the same job more reliably and much cheaper. These cars are meant to be DRIVEN. Join the local porsche club of america and do some drivers ed events so you can actually appreciate the car, rather than have it just sit there and have you to be able to say "i own a porsche."

Do NOT, I repeat...Do NOT buy a Porsche without it having been checked by an independent mechanic or Porsche dealer.

Actually, the base Cayman for around 50K(and it is brand new, and a superior car to the convt looks AWFULLY tempting...)

But if you must have the Boxster, have it CHECKED OUT...

DON'T TRY IT BECAUSE U WOULD WANT TO FIX IT BACK UP AFTER IT DOES THAT SO U CAN SELL IT.
