When riots arise over checking a man's subway ticket, the right blames the person trying to ride for free and the lowlifes who came to his "defense". Naturally, the leftist blames the police, the government, and racism. I realize this was in France, but honestly it sounds like it could have happened up the street with the same comments from the same segments of political society.

cut: I made no comment about the politics of those actually involved in the riots, only aboutt those who wish to exonerate them by blaming everyone else under the sun EXCEPT those who actually rioted.

donie: your response makes no sense. So it was in another country, so what? Do you feel French politics has no effect on the US and vice versa? If so, I think it's you who is playing too much Game Boy.

Aviator: You might want to re-read my question. I neither stated nor implied that any rioter was left OR right. I simply stated that among the presidential candidates debating what happened, the conservative blamed a lack of personal responsibility, and the liberal blamed the police, French society, poverty, et al...

That doesn't sound like the US to you?

Yes. Because for the left it is never the individual's responsibility (fault if need be) there is always an external source for the issue/problem/action. When is the last time you heard a left leaning politician say "I was wrong" "I was responsible" "I do not need rehab".....lol

No, no it doesn't prove anything. That's an anecdote about an event that occurred in a different country, with a different political system, a different political spectrum, and a different set of problems. You can pretend to understand the politics of the french, but it might be more productive if you looked closer at your own first.

Hey, you asked if it proved anything.

The left in general is populated by dupes of the International Communists.
In this case, first you create anarchy.
When civilized society is in disarray, you bring order by installing your selected TYRANTS and their organized comrades to control the situation you created.
No matter what the situation, it always ends up with TYRANTS in control. That is the Marxist way.

Actually you do make the assumption that those involved in the riots are left. You imply that the people in the article are left, and that they are similar "left is the left" in this country.

Stop generalizing people and somehow demonizing the left for this unfortunate case.
