Ha that is kind of interesting that San Francisco of all places would ban plastic! And what about those dog walkers who have to clean up after their dogs with something OTHER than plastic!?

Actually, San Francisco banned the use of non-biodegradable plastic bags.
Thus, you still have plastic bags.

Paper recycles a lot more readily than plastic and is much more biodegradeable.
I like paper bags because you can use them for lots of other things. I can't say the same for plastic.
But, I think SF needs to worry about things other than this.

What does it matter if you cut down another tree. There's a lot of people out there already doing it. One tree won't make a difference. Seriously...just frickin pick one.

Don't all grocery stores let customers recycle plastic grocery bags anyhow?

Paper bags thrown away will dissolve in the rain.
Plastic won't.
