was listening to a tune and then silence.... help pls

off the top of my head i cant think what could have caused this esp as you were listening to a tune at the time, i am wondering if possibly there is a option somewhere that you can listen with headphones and this has happened i am presuming you are not listening with headphones hmmmm or that the volume has been turned right down but i bet you have checked that, i would advise you to contact your network provider explain what has happened and they will run a diagnostic and will ask you to check various things on your phone and advise you what has happened and how to rectify it, sorry i cant help further

looks like a software issue... take it back to the retailer that you bought it forma dn they would repair it
