Firstly could I just say to "arwenlotr2" that I am very proud to be an idiot based on your interpretation of the word and that this idiot will continue to speak out against Fascism and Bigotry regardless of which country the Fascists and Bigots represent.

In answer to the question, No Bush is probably the most protected person on the planet and the Secret Service are experts in personal security which means nobody has a hope of getting anywhere near him......unless of course the Secret Service are ordered to by...say the CIA or the FBI as in the JFK incident.

Which poor, old Bush are you referring to, The current pres or the former George H.W. Bush. He's safe, Bill Clinton's looking out for him. On the other hand, Dubya is his own worse enemy and I don't know if there's any protection from that, now or in the future.

"The President of the United States is constantly in danger, and the Secret service will protect him and his family for the rest of his life. "

this is incorrect, bush will be the first president that a new law will be inacted that they recieve protection for 20 years after the end of his final term

Somebody would really have to be off their rocker to assassinate Bush. That is why he picked Cheney as his vice pres. Sort of an insurance policy. If Bush is dead Cheney is Pres. Do you want that? Neither does anyone else. Besides that is not how civilized people handle desputes.

He is well protected but there is always a risk being President.

After he is gone from office everyone will want to punish the new President and so it goes on and on.

He is going to need more security than any ex President ever. His 1600 acre ranch will come in handy, and I imagine there will always be a no fly zone over it when he is there.

It is truly remarkable that, given the history of assassination and attempts that none have been made since Regan. I would not be surprised to see on on Bush... especially since there seem to be more crazy people now than there were in Regan's day... So, I guess the only answer I have to your question is... I dunno.

Only if Jim Webb is in the vicinity of the President. Poor Jim needs to seek some professional help...the boy is quite unstable.

No, he is the safest man in America right now.

If he were to die, we get DICK Cheney.

But if DICK Cheney were to die, we get Nancy Pelosi (I think).

So believe me, no american guns will fire off near Bush.

Plus, you kill Bush, you turn him into a Martyr for the christian right.
