I have heard so many mixed ideas on how often you should feed them. Some people feed them a large pinch once a day, while others say 3 times a day. What is your opinion. I personally feed mine 1 to 2 times a day.

When I feed them twice a day I feed them two times a day I feed them smaller pinches. They seem to be happier if they eat twice a day, but I usually only feed them once a day.

I feed my goldies once a day, but twice a week I offer treats in addition to the regular food, like a cube of freeze dried tubifex worms, or a piece of blanched lettuce, or a few blanched green peas, some sun dried baby shrimp, they also like grapes, cucumber & zuchinni. I try to alternate between roughage and protien when it comes to treats.

Twice a day, 12 hours apart. I feed mostly Omega One pellets but also feed home made gel food, brine shrimp and peas. I also make sure every once in a while to fast them for a day to clean out their system.
Krystal, goldfish actually don't have a 30 second memory, there has been many test done that prove their memories are longer.

Fish usually don't starve to death, if you feed them too much they will get bloated and die. One pinch a day will do. Be careful not to overfeed them, and if you go on a vacation for like 3-5 days your fish should be fine.

i feed mine once a day, if you feed them more the tank gets dirty faster and since goldfish only have a 30 second memory they acts like they are always hungry, i guess it would also depend on how many fish you have too, but i think that once is enough

the more you feed them, the more the tank will get dirtier faster.
they will eat more than they need and many people over feed them and they die.

once a week one time i fed my gold fish 1 time a day and they all died. so now i feed them one time a day
