I want to buy a phone, but Sprint doesn't have it - but it is avaliable as in unlocked phone. Do unlocked phones even work with Sprint service? Because I see on amazon.com it says that the phones dont come with a SIM card. But Sprint doesn't use SIM cards. HELP please.

Most phones that use SIM cards are GSM phones. New Sprint/Nextel phones also have SIM cards but they use CDMA and the Nextel side uses iDEN. Even if you had an unlocked CDMA PCS phone, Sprint won't activate it. They only activate their own phones, no one elses' even when they're technically compatible.

nope wont work because sprint is not a gsm network. Sprint is a CDMA network.
