Tony has to be one very angry guy right now with the Iranian government, but he's also doing what he can to bring the 15 home safely. For Britain to go after Iran would get these troops killed. The uncivilized imbaciles of the middle east look at that as an open invitation to perform executions. I don't think there is any doubt in this world as to just how badly Great Britain could put a hurt on Iran, and the only ones with doubts seem to be the Iranian government, but those are nothing more than delusions. All it would take for Great Britain to bring Iran to it's knees is a few night time fly-bys from the RAF. Along with the United States and Isreal, Great Britain has one of the most technologically advanced Air Forces in the world.
However, here's a difference between Bush and Blair. Blair is trying to get them released using diplomatic process. Bush would give up on diplomatic process by day 2, and would have declared war.
