I have the same issue with my children. Crayons, pens, pencils.... my kids always have one, but heaven forbid I am on the telephone and need a writing utensil to write down an important number and I can never find a darn pen or even a crayon.

You are always taking pens away from your 2 year old because you don't want him to be a future Beethoven and become world famous and to be given imortality through his work because you are jealous!

Also, because you don't want ink all over the sofa!

Because she might write on walls or anything else
And when your on the phone there is never a pen it is a law and I have the same problem as well.

The baby wants the pens because they must be really great or you wouldn't want them. You keep taking them, don't you?

You can never find one, because the little one probably has them stashed so he can get a spare when you take them.

They have magical powers that conjur pens and the karma of you taking them away backfired on you and made all the pens in your house implode.

They want to write you a note. Then they hide the pens from you when you aren't looking. Down the cushions, perhaps?

Very frustrating, I agree... in my situation I am always having to take them away from my two 6 month old kittens.... they are little turds and will steal anything they can get their little paws on!
Good luck (and cute avatar)

You obviously have a future writer on your hands.

And because I was prescient enough to notice first, I'll expect a signed copy of the first best-seller.
