The power supply on my v2010 pro just kinda went, I took it to bits abd it burned a nice hole in the mother board. The computer still works how ever is aint charging no more. The bit of metal that was attacked to the mother board melted the MB and everything around it. anyone have a clue what needs to be soldered where?

Yeouch.

Honestly, there is not much you can do if the whole area around the AC plug is fried.

Even if you found the correct trace to solder the new connector to, it would most likely still not charge. I would bet that a few of the surface-mount components in the area are fried as well. Without a circuit schematic, there is no way to tell what you would need to replace.

Best bet is to do exactly what the first person said. Go onto Ebay and see if you can find a new motherboard.

You will probably want to buy a new AC adapter as well. It could have been a malfunction in the adapter that caused this problem.
