I'm looking into buying a 2006 civic hybrid. I have close to a round trip of 100 miles per day. I've done research on MPG so I already know that. But what are some of your pros or cons?

I have a 2006 Civic Hybrid. From the start I got 45 mpg highway. I have 50k on it and still have the original tires and brakes on the car. maintenance is every 5000 miles at my honda dealer and they are superb and comprable in price if not less than the independents. Friends that I know who have the Prius tell me that they started out getting in the upper 30's and it took about a year to get up to the upper 40's.

honda has a 150,000 mile warranty on the powertrain components and batteries for the hybrid. you don't need to buy any service contracts for that system. the regular warranty is 5/60000 on the powertrain.

and I like the civic styling better than Prius, but that's a personal choice.

hope that helps
