If all of the answers from others just are not for you, try going to a nutrition store and asking them to help you to find something easier to take. Let them know about your sensitivity to smells, I know those prenatal vitamins have a smell that makes you feel like gagging, and I know the calcium pills are hard to swallow also. If a salesman at a nutrition store can't find an alternative solution for you, try doing what I have done with having to take nasty smelling, or hard to swallow pills........whatever it is that you really like to drink, fill your mouth with that, hold your nose while adding the pill trying not to let it touch your tongue, and swallow. It may not go down the first time, but try again. Practicing this will help you now for the baby, and in the future for yourself..... Good luck, and congratulations on being a new mommy!

I'm a non milk person myself. I can down chocolate milk but that is about it. Many cereals, breads, and other items are calcium fortified now...........just read the labels. Here is a list of other items but if your a sensitive to smells good luck finding something off the list you will enjoy. Don't worry your baby will take what it needs and you will be left with the rest.
Salmon
Tofu
Rhubarb
Sardines
Collard Greens
Spinach
Turnip Greens
Okra
White Beans
Baked Beans
Broccoli
Peas
Brussel Sprouts
Sesame Seeds
Bok Choy

When I was pregnant with my first baby I had horrible morning sickness too. I Lost like 15 pounds before I started gaining. I just ate what I could, even though most of it came up. Take any vitamins at night, right before you lay down for bed and try to eat a cracker or 1/2 piece of white bread before you take it. If the calcium pills are too big, cut them in half and take 1/2 in the morning and 1/2 at night. And, I found that if I ate what I was craving it came up less. I craved Publix deli macaroni and cheese and cracker jacks. Weird! Anyway, I know how you feel. It'll get better, just hang in there!!

I hate milk too. If you like chocolate milk, stir in some nesquik or something similar. But if you can stomach milk in some cereal, that also counts as a serving. Yogurt and cheese also have milk in them so you get calcium that way. Make sure you take you prenatal vitamins, they also contain calcium.

If you go to walgreens or rite-aid or another drugstore - in the vitamin section they have chocolate calciums chews that you can take. They taste really good- like candy. They come in a box with a lid on them - almost looks like an ice cream containtor. The pharmacist can help you find them. Good luck!

I was the same way and sick for a full three months! I asked my doc and she told me that as long as I was still taking the prenatal vitamins that it should be enough. But I could take the viactive chews and drink the ensure shake thingys. My son was perfectly healthy and quite big at birth too. Good luck.

When I was prego I threw up a lot. Get your sugar checked if they have not already. My prob was gestational diabetes.
You can buy juices fortified w/ calcium but your prenatal vitamin probably has enough calcium for you. If you are not on prenatal vitamins then have your obgyn prescribe some for you. Also some foods are fortified w/ calcium.

I hate milk but fortunately like yogurt. Do you like chocolate? My mom bought me these calcium chocolate chew things. They're really good and don't taste like gross vitamins! She says she got them from a vitamin store like GNC but can't remember what they're called. Also, eat lots of dark green vegetables. They are loaded with lots af vitamins, including calcium. If that doesn't help ask your doctor if he/she can recommend anything. Good luck!

You could take calcium pills. Also eat eggs, cheese, yogart, and other things that have milk in them but don't taste like milk. Also, fruits and veggies that have calcium in them like oranges.
