It seems to be clear to me, but then, its not my question!

There is something inherently wrong with a guy who feels he has to play baseball "ONLY" so you can see him play...His answer should have been he's torn between his sheer love/interest in the sport and needing to earn money. Crazy that he said that! -IF, he loves the sport as much as you say he does.

You need to set him straight and let him know the criteria for you liking him, isn't based on his playing baseball, that HE needs to examine his motivation and if he loves baseball so much, play it for 6 months and try to find a job after that time to earn money.

Many guys do both (-and of course it would depend upon the hours working and the particular job working around his daytime sports interest)...doesn't sound like yours can juggle a job and sport, so tell him its up to him to choose what is more important TO HIM.

If you make ANY decisions for him that takes the responsibility from him. Which lets him then blame you when things don't turn out. Also, he'll resent you when things don't turn out right. Why would you want to be in a relationship with a child who can't make a simple grown up decision?
Good luck honey, you'll need it to make decisions for someone else other than yourself.

I would tell him that he needs to make his own decision, this is his life and your don't want to be the cause of a bad decision. School is very important, can't he balance you and school. Just be supportive and tell him that you support any decision he makes.

Well io think you should tell him to choose which ever he likes more. Tell him that you like him for him and not any baseball team. You should try talking to him and tell him how you feel about this. I think that he shouldnt be aking you this, after all he is the one that is going to be doing this.
Good Luck!!!!!!!

If his sports are more important than him doing what he needs to to get back into school then so be it.
I don't understand why he can work and play. All my friends do....

make him work, baseball is great but if you can't afford the baseball equipment then you'll have to work anyways.

He needs to make his own decisions, it's part of being independent, and mature!
