Regarding cleaning the carbon residue off the glass after burning wood. I am having trouble finding the right cleanning product to clean the black carbon off the transparent (now dark black) glass window in which you can see through. It's just the fact, i cant see what's going on inside the hearth while the fire is going!! Any one know a solution of any kind, or a commercial product that can clean the glass windows on the hearth door??

After you learn how to clean the glass, find out why your fireplace is not burning properly. You should not be getting heavy carbon on the glass.

the glass will clean easier if you clean it while it is still warm, NOT HOT. Try a cleaner called Super Clean. It can be used for lots of things. Follow the instructions on the back for the correct water/cleaner ratio.

Know that "Easy Off" will clean carbon off bricks,we don't get carbon on the glass doors, we leave them open.
