I'll never understand why in the world anyone would text while driving when they have a cell PHONE!!!
I'm tired of idiots on the phone while driving too... I'm also tired of all those people who don't know how to use hands free mode... I don't care if you can't hear or be heard as well.. most people can't even hold the phone to their face and still DRIVE as well....
why should they be putting my life at risk as another driver on the road because they think they need to make a phone call... and they're too careless to pay attention to what they're doing with thier SUV?
I'll be glad when the day comes that cell phones are implanted in peoples A$$es

text messaging - yes. I have almost been in multiple accidents because of my texting habit. Having to look down at what you're typing makes it impossible to pay attention to the road ahead. Regular cell phone use, however, should not be banned. If we're going to ban cell phone use, then why not ban having passengers or radios in your car -- any sort of distraction.

Yes- it has been statistcally proven that text messaging and phone calling while driving increases the probability of a crash to huge extremes. Mainly because your hands and eyes are not on the road, so people, buckle up, turn them off, and pay attention. We've had too many deaths worldwide. (May they all RIP.)
