I have a twelve year old nephew who is retarded. For his birthday every year instead of giving him real money, I simply give him counterfeit bills in various denominations. My rationale for this is that since he is retarded he will not be able to distinguish real bills from fake ones; Therefore why should I spend money on him when I have a cheaper faker alternative. He has not been caught yet and even if he was I'm sure they would let him off with a warning. In all honesty is what I am doing wrong? I would like some guidance in this matter.

you are taking advantage of someone who doesn't know any better, and you are breaking the law. Counterfeiting is a federal offense, and if he gets caught passing them they will find out where he got them from, and come looking for you.
Anyone who can take advantage of someone who is mentally retarded deserves to spend 25 years in a federal prison.
