Generally fire needs oxygen to burn and in space there is no oxygen so no fire you could however use a fuel and oxygen based fire as long as both parts are supplied together.

or of course if you were in a oxygen rich environment in space ie a space ship/shuttle

Have you ever been shown when a kid that you you put a glass over a candle after a couple of minutes the flame extinguishes because oxygen is running out..
well that's the same principle except that we're talking of something much bigger than a pint glass! :-)
