Exactly!

The way to protect the fetus' "right to choose" would be to ban all abortions.
Many people answering say that the fetus has no rights or they say that the fetus cannot understand rights therefore it has none.

They are wrong.

If rights are denied to those who cannot understand them does that mean any mentally deficient person has no legal rights - no it does not. If that were true - would a person who became brain damaged lose rights that he previously had just because he could no longer understand the rights?
Of course not.

People deny rights to a fetus when it is convenient for them.

What about embryos? More abortions happened when is still an embryo rather than a fetus. Did you not know the difference? The embro or fetus doesn't have the ability to choose. The woman is much more important.

What is the Fetus actually going to choose?
(is it capitalized because it's his/her's proper name?)

-Fetus, do you want to supersize that value meal?
-Fetus do you want another beer, or you done for the night?
-Fetus we can either see the Departed or I think I love my Wife, what do you want to see?

I'm guess I'm confused here, what can a Fetus choose?

Fetus, like children, have no rights. This has been established by courts that children have no right to choose anything

You can't.

Not to sound cruel on this, but you would have a very difficult time extending rights to a fetus

When this country started out Africans were not considered equally human, and we took away their rights.

When we moved west, we did not consider Indians to be fully human, and we took away their rights.

Until recently, Women in general were not seen as fully human, so we limited their rights (equal jobs, holding office, voting)

Now these groups of people have rights, due to the fact that they can speak out for themselves, leaving the number of people we could take rights from very small.

Now people have turned their attention to their own children. As long as you are completely reliant on someone for survival, you are not fully human. You do not have the right to life liberty or the pursuit of happiness.

This principle also applies to the elderly or mentally damaged. If caring for a person is too troublesome, instead of letting them fend for themselves (a cruel and heartless thing, they say), they are euthanized (i guess killing someone is better than letting them try to live on their own)

I'll open a fetus education center so they know their choices. Of course someone will have to pay their tuition...
