theyre all called data miner. ive gone in and blocked third party cookies. thanks for that and ive deleted all the ones in quarintine except the mru which it says arent a threat and i wouldt know what the hell im wiping. il do a scan in awhile and see what the story is. so theyre no harm then even though theyre called critical objects. i thought critical objects were dangerous things to be having on your computer.

Is it only detecting Tracking Cookies? If so it is no big deal,as cookies get generated at almost every website that you visit.

Cookies are just small .txt (text) files that by themselves cannot hurt your computer. They are not a virus, but some people consider "tracking" cookies to be an invasion of privacy.

It all depends on one's level of paranoria.

Tracking cookies are mostly "3rd party cookies" from advertising servers. They can track your movements around the web in order to deliver to you customised, targeted advertising.

If you are using Internet Explorer for a browser, you can permanantly block all 3rd party cookies. Go to tools > internet options > privacy > advanced > checkmark "override automatic cookie handling" > third party cookies > tick "block" > ok > ok.

Take a deep breathe. Now, what you're probably looking at is called Tracking Cookies. In layman's terms, these are little thing that attach themselves to your computer to see what you are doing so advertisers can send you junk mail. Criticals just mean at this point is stuff that is not normal. My personal advise is to delete everything that is quarantined, everytime you see it. These things will show up every day. I hope you have high speed, as opposed to dial up. If you have dial up, your aggravation has only started.

When Ad aware has finished scanning, click on log file, then you will see all the thing that has been found, click "right" in one of the boxes and delete all, that should do it

start the PC in safe mode first (hold F8 ket down on boot up) then do it.

If this still does not work then you have got some very nasty ones - find out their names and scan for them on google as you may need specialised removal tools

it sounds like you just have tracking cookies, as i get this all the time from "Ad-Aware Se Personal". there's no need to worry about it.
