If you are disgusted by there behavior, why do you think they would accept any decision you make about leaving? Just go, and if they ask you why, be honest. Who cares? You want to move on. As far as meeting new people, get involved with some of the activities in your community. Local sports teams, church groups, YMCA/YWCA, etc. Take charge of YOUR life.

Maybe you should hang out with others you are sorta friends with. Go to someone you know , but not really well. They're likely to have boys for friends, or, if you really want to tell your friends the truth, tell them how you think things are going. They'll get a little mad at you, depending, but in less than a day, if the accusation wasn't really harsh, ask them, and say "let's go find some boys to hang out with." . It'll probably be easier getting a new friend in them by just socializing.

Usually, when a friendship has run its course, it becomes obvious to both parties. Give it a little more time or just kind of wander off. They should get the point. I had to do this with a friend that I used to hang around with a lot. Basically, just start hanging out with other people.

I'd hang on to those girl friends. It's nice to have a group of girl friends who allow you to be dramatic and tragic with them when you need to sob. As you get older, there are fewer and fewer outlets for that sort of thing - even those girl get tired of their own daily dramas, You can have guy friends too - just don't give up the girls.

start hanging somewhere new, just tell them you need to focus on new area of your life. The places you go like clubbin will get you friends who just want to party, or at the coffee house will be people just looking to relax, so choose your friends and hangouts carefully.

just distance your self .when they call or try to hook up with you just say your busy .eventually they will get the hint that you don't want to be bothered .to find new friends go to place you like to go and try to meet new people that are interested in the same things you are and that are a little more mature

You don't have to tell your "friends" anything, unless they ask. Just sit with other people at lunch, join clubs, or sports teams. You have to extend yourself.
