I'm in OC, CA, and I have to do a breakfast for 20 people on Friday. I don't feel like cooking it. Are there any good places around that you all can suggest? I have a couple of Catholics to serve too, so I will also need some meatless options (since it's a Friday, and it's Lent).

Do you have a Paneras? They can cater a bagel-fest with several different kinds of bagels and cream cheese, plus various gorgeous varieties of pastries. They also have an egg and spinach souffle that can be pre-ordered. All you need then are some icy pitchers of apple and orange juice, decaf and regular coffee. They have specialty breads too. You can always get some unusual bread and put out a toaster with butter (if you want it to look like you spent a lot of time, you can blend a stick of butter with honey and another with jam and chill overnight, to go with the breads). A continental breakfast is easy and many people are used to them now. If you don't have a Paneras, you can probably get this stuff elsewhere locally. If you think that your guests will want a more elaborate buffet, you could add a platter some nova salmon and capers (the cream cheese for the bagels could serve double-duty). You might consider a bowel of hard-boiled eggs with Easter coloring. A fresh-fruit salad from the grocery store might finish it off. Can I come?

I have always liked going to restaurants that have full breakfast buffets, because everyone can pick and choose their favorite thing to eat. I don't know if any of these restaurants still exist or not,but a chain of restaurants called Big Boy was well known for its huge breakfast buffets at a very affordable price!

Otherwise,I have my family or friends help me cook breakfast when we are having company and we serve things such as the following:

Pancakes
French Toast
Omelets
Waffles
Bacon
Sausage
Eggs,fried,scrambled
Cinnamon Rolls
Sausage gravy over buttermilk biscuits
Ham
Steak
Doughnuts
the list goes on and on!! ;-)

The Ivy in Beverly Hills is nice for a brunch, but you'll definitely need a reservation.

GOLDEN CORAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's a buffet. You should go there a little before lunch. So if some of the people you're with can have breakfast. And the ones who want lunch could just chill untill lunch. I did it before. It's so cool how when you order an omlet they make it right infront of you. And you can tell them what you want on it. It's f*****g awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
