how long after you take clomid does it start to work?

Question

i was prescribe clomid today by my fertility doctor.how long after you take it does it start to work?when do you start feeling the side effects also?the dr prescribed it to me because my boyfriend had low(not that low)sperm count and said that if i take it will help with the follicule(i hope i understood that correctly).also if my boyfriend has 40% sperm count rather than 50 should our timing of intercourse be every 2 or 3 days???

You take it, usually, from day 5 for 5 days. You ovulate a few days after you stop taking it...

Every 2 days is good. Every 3 days might cause you to miss the ovulation.
