Well, the best and wisest time to start having sex is after marriage. But being realistic, though, most people do not wait until they are married nowadays. The best advice I would give you, though, is to wait until you are truly in love with a girl. It should be something special that you share with someone you love, and who also loves you.

It depends on how old you are, where you are, and whether you can support a family.
Guys usually start having sex way too early, and create a lot of problems on the way to growing up.
The old standard was to wait until you were married.
For a while it was as soon as anyone would cooperate.
The new standard is to wait until you are mature enough to not do too much stupid stuff.

when you feel you are mature and responsible enough to handle it. Sex is not something to be taken lightly and you need to be sure you are truly ready for it.

I think you should be at least 18 years of age, and it still isn't time if you haven't found that special someone.
