The University of Machester released an OS named Atlas I Supervisor in the '60s. Around that same time, DOS/360 was released. Not sure which was released first though.

They essiantly appear in this order
1. Unix (it is now also know under Linux which is a kernal on the old Unix software)
2. MS- Dos (Microsoft Dos)
3. Then Apple
No i am not bi est in the software or OS because i own and run all 3 systems. and i do enjoy using Windows for gaming, Unix or Linux for basic word processing and general work, and Apple systems for Graphic design.

mid 1960s DOS (not related to MSDOS)
early 1970s - Unix created by Bell Labs for the DOD. The TCP/IP protocol stack.
1980s MSDOS (with money from IBM purchased QDOS and renamed MSDOS)
