Wow, sounds like an interesting place you live at. Let me give you a few pointers. Do you have a dvr (digital voice recorder) or a tape recorder? The dvr is the best, I think. If no then maybe you might want to get one, living there. You can get them at wal mart, radio shack, almost any store that sells electronics's. Make sure the place you are recording in is quiet, maybe you need to do it at night when people are sleeping. Just hit record and ask questions like... Is there any one here... whats your name... why are you here... are you trapped here... how old are you... ect. Be sure to pause (not the recorder) in between each question you ask for at lease 20 to 30 seconds or more. This is so you can hear anything the spirit's may tell you. And/or you can just leave the dvr recording in a quiet room to see if you get anything. Not just voices but other ghostly sounds like... footsteps, doors opening/closing... etc.
Hey... if you try to get any evp (Electra voice phenomena) recording's will you send me a email or something to let me know what you get or post them somewhere like http://ghosthounds.com/
I'd love to hear what you get on land with the history of yours and your neighbors.
my email... Spirit_Whiisperer@yahoo.com

A Ghost is a Spirit. A Spirit is the next embodiment of the Soul that is you and i and everyone else. When the Soul/Spirit leaves the human body it is left inaminate - just physical matter. The Soul is divine - has always existed and will always exist. There could be many reasons for a haunting - unfinished business or desires for the Soul/Spirit in question. The Spirit is the astral body of the Soul made up of fine light particles. Each Spirit has different levels of power just as each human has different capabilities. We humans have 5 senses, the Astral body has 11 so they are much more aware of us than we are of them. Some behave well others do not again as we humans. When a Soul leaves this body he/she retains the same qualities. Of course the Soul ultimately will either return to this world in physical form or enter Nirvana/Heaven/Brahmalokha as that is his/her ultimate destination but this may take many lifetimes to achieve. If the Spirit/s you are speaking of have not harmed you or anyone else think kindly of them. They are just you and i further down the road.

I believe in things that cannot be explained that may or may not have the potential to be a human spirit, but it is open to extreme crtisim. ninety nine. nine % of ghosts are just in your head because people want to believe in them, whether or not they admitt it. it might be in your head because you think just because your house is bulit on an old site (a mental hospital at that) it automatically means ghost. I would try your hardest to find an explanation, cold spots? there is a draft, things moving? you might have mice, or a train near by that would shake things...you get my point. after you have eliminated ALL possiblities, there is paranormal activity, but that still doesn't mean it's a ghost. oh and a fun fact, i don't know about the wiring in your house, but with older houses or houses with cheap covering over the wiring, the high concentration of electrodes and what not on the human brain gives a feeling of 'being watch' or someone with you, so its not a ghosty, just a goof with our brain messages. Hope you figure out what's going on.

I don't think I'm arrogant enough to dismiss anything like that,If you and other people have experienced these things and believe them to be ghosts then who am I to tell you you're wrong?
I've never had any experiences with that sort of thing but my Dad & 6 of his mates did when they were younger-it scared the sh*t outta them & to this day they swear it's true what they saw. Again I wasn't there so can't say whether or not it's the truth.

I'm not sure y people want to hang out where they die but they do. Most of the time they just want some1 to know they are around. Your not in any danger or anything like that. My advice would to think long and hard before you take any steps to try and communicate. That will create a bond and give them a reason to stay....other wise they will move bc I'm sure they have better things to do. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I'm afraid its real if everyone on your close has had experienced something then it cannot be your imagination.
When a building is on top of an old dwelling its bound to have what we call residual energy's, im afraid you are stuck with it.
ps I live in a old victorian house and it has alot of activity, and i have learned to accept them being around.
As long as they are not a problem leave them.
Good Luck!!!!!

It's probably real. I have experienced ghosts all my life. 3 questions: Do they seem aware of you? Have they tried to communicate/interact with you? and Do they seem threatening to you? I wouldn't worry unless you feel threatened. Some are just like photographs/memories, some haven't crossed over yet, & some are evil spirits. Feel free to e-mail me if you want to know more about my experiences.

I say its real. Not in your head. The land is what attracts ghosts not the house. So you can rebuild that house a million times, but until you move it off that land, im sure it wont go away.

OH MY GOSH! Can I come to your house?
I loooove haunted houses, and freaky stories! I love a good scare.
moooving on:

Yeah. Believe me or not, I believe ghosts are real.
I was at my friends house, and we were all talking in her basement, and there were no lights on, and I swear I saw my Grandfathers ghost, I know what he looks like, I've never met him, but I saw him!

I believe there are ghosts. I have the ghost of a small boy in my home. Afriend of mine even got a pic of him on his cell phone last summer. We have even managed to track down his name and grave. We also know that he was killed by acident by his father running over him. It's kind of creepy, sad and cool all rolled into one.
