Uhm...I don't quite understand, and there is really no way I can compete with that other answer but... I always considered the Beatles to be the beginning of rock'n'roll, along with Elvis, so maybe thats a good place to start.

Rock n' Roll came out of the "straight and natural" blues. Take blues, add some african rhythms (backbeat), and some country & western instruments and conventions (verse, chorus, verse, chorus, bridge, chorus chorus chorus), and you have rock n' roll.
Some pioneers of rock as it evolved and changed were Chuck Berry, Elvis, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Ramones/Talking Heads, Michael Jackson, and Nirvana (plus a whole lot of other people I left out).
