Can't you talk to your mom about this? There are other things you should know. Do you even know why women have a period? I think it's time for a frank talk with your mom, big sister or another woman you feel comfortable with, to get your questions answered.

u can notice certain symptoms a few days before-like size of breasts,white vaginal discharge.Most of them will notice a white sticky discharge about 10-15 days before the period.

you will be able to see blood or dark discharge when you start. It's not something to worry about. Your first time is likely to only last about 3 days.
