Its nice to see you were realistic about a winning season and didnt jump to a superbowl or division champion type of season, with ahman green pending he can stay healthy, will deffinately be a big plus, but a team cant just ride one player all the time, they did just pick up matt schaub too so that will be another big plus,as long as the defense can stay some-what consistant and not give up alot of points, then yea,i think they do have a shot at a winning season

I don't think Ahman Green is the solution for the Texans. They still need to get a healthy, and good o-line before they can have much success. They're just not set with the line yet. They aren't quite the Cardinals, but they need a lot of work.

Winning season? Possibly. At best they may hit 9-7, but a tough division and new skill players probably means another losing season.

I think that the will be better then they were last year, they are making steps forward, but there is still alot of things to imoprove on, Yes they made a move at QB, but will he get protection and what other options at WR does he have to throw too? The runing game should improve but Green has a fumbling problem so I hope he can hold the ball and doesn't get hurt

and there secondary was piss poor last year and they haven't done anything to improve it yet. I was thinking they would drapht Laundry, maybe but they need to do something about that secondary

I think they will win 5-7 games though

They have a chance, but not a good chance. They have that same tacky offensive line blocking for the QB and opening holes for the HB's, so I see the same problems. On the other hand, they can do some things on defense, so thats gonna keep them in some games. They MIGHT can squeeze out a 7-9 or 8-8 year, but I think they're at least a year or two away from being winners.

I would say probably not, but there's always a chance; your wild-card is going to be Schaub, and that's a risky gamble. Green's a nice addition, and definitely an improvement, but just about anyone would be. If he split carries with Dayne and have a renaissance year (a difficult thing, no doubt, with the O-line the Texans field), and keep a little pressure off Schaub - who is definitely overpaid but does have a healthy dose of talent - I'd say perhaps. My belief is, however, that they'll finish at .500 or possibly even 7-9.

That really depends on how the draft plays out. I think acquiring Schaub was a step in the right direction, but the O-line needs a little help. I wouldn't be surprised if they took an O-lineman with their first round pick. If the rest of their off-season goes well, I think they could definitely make a good run for a .500 record...

No. They have a chance of having a winning season with Matt Shaub on the team. Ahman Green is not that good you know. Ron Dayne is the man in Houstan.

Absolutely not. You guys paid too much for a player who is nearing the twilight of his career. Secondly, you guys will find out that Matt Schaub is garbage and will be begging to get David Carr and the draft picks back. HORRIBLE moves!!!!!!

no. green is an alright running back, but his skills and toughness are decreasing every year. he needs a great O Line to be a decent back, and houston doesnt provide that. houston's main problem is the O Line, and it is a problem that has never been solved.

If they get one full year out of Green, they should count themselves lucky. Green really needs to be paired with another back to take some of the hits now.
