Not necessarily. Im not against this buying and selling trade but I think there should be designated places for it, such as those "spas" or ordering them over the phone and meeting at a hotel or wherever. I dont think its acceptable to have this in publics eye, like the streetwalkers bc we should respect the views of those who are appalled by it and children should have no sight of it. Its worng if your cheating while doing it and its wrong to force anyone to do it. All that said, this should be an individual choice, noone is a victim unless someone is being cheated on in the process. Those who sell should be willing and if they are, then why not buy it? Its noones business. And they call it a free country, theres a darn law for everything!

A big question. You could say the prostitutes are not victims. But what about those areas where girls are forced into it? They are victims.
It does encourage other crime. It may be that legalizing it would remove most of the problems, at least in the West, but there would still be those women who were not given a choice in the third world.
It is also arguable that STD do cause victims. It is too big a subject to cover here.

It's the oldest profession in the book and one that will probaby never go away, I don't think it's victimless. Especially when it's a married man spending time with a prostitute & then brings STDs home to his unsuspecting wife.

In some places prostitution is legal and the women have to go in for health checks so you have 2 willing parties. "AHH toot toot" Now when they force children into positiution...then that is a crime.

Sad to me actually. I can't imagine having to give that part of myself up to make the bills.......makes me sad! I guess it is victimless unless there are diseases involved and then it isn't really......or if the guy doing the hiring is married that sort of makes his wife a victim right?
