I'm 29 weeks pregnant with my first and yes, my little boy hiccups all the time. His kicks are very active and definite. And i also know what it feels like when he's changing positions. So when i feel a slight jerky quick movement that lasts for about a minute or two i know her is hiccuping. It is a funny feeling and is something different from a baby kicking. So i definitely know what you're talking about. the baby's hiccuping just like any other person would, it just feels funny because it's going on inside of your belly. Good luck with everything

Oh Yes Definitely!
My daughter used to get hiccups all the time before she was born. By the time I was 40 weeks my whole stomach would jump and twitch for hours (usually at 4am!!) SHe still gets the hiccups a lot now after meals.
Apparently hiccuping in utero helps to develop the muscle spasm that causes a baby to take it's first breath.
It's a lovely feeling though. Enjoy it! And Good Luck!

I think I read that they do hiccup. I am 19 weeks and am starting to have more and more feelings in my belly. I'm not sure what the hiccups feel like though. It would be kinda cool if during an ultrasound he/she would hiccup so you can see the action and feel it at the same time, maybe mine will do that next week when I go or during my 4D! Good luck and congratulations!

Absolutely! My daughter had the hiccups all the time when I was pregnant with her. I knew the difference between them and other movements like elbow jabs and kicks because there was a rhythm to the hiccups. No baby has that much rhythm to kick in sync like that. Don't worry, it doesn't hurt them - or at least that's what I've read.

It true!!!!!! Ususally this happens in the middle and end of pregnancy because your baby is practicing how to breathe, it sucks in some of the amniotic fluid and this sometimes gives babies the hiccups. Some people describe the feeling of the baby getting hiccups as bubbles. You'll know it when you feel it.:) Congrats

I have a 3 month old. During my recent pregnancy she ALWAYS hiccupped. It is like little jerking motions, very quick, and can repeat for 5-10 minutes sometimes. It felt SOOOO weird!

Yes - babies can hiccup inside of the womb. My daughter did a lot when I was pregnant with her. And the funny thing is - she did it a lot for like the first month after she was born! (She's 3 months old).
It's perfectly normal!!!

Of course. i have a friend at work that is pregnant and she told me that she feels him hiccup. She says that it feels strange. Not sure about having muscle spasms, might want to check with your DR to be sure

I have three children and the middle child was the only one to have the hiccups. It was a really unique feeling.

yes, my baby boy gets hiccups all the time, i'm 34 weeks.
it feels just like you think it would, a little baby having the hiccups, but you feel it in your belly, it makes him jerk all over.
it does kinda feel like a muscle spasm, but not your muscles.
