Buy a longer cable. Common lengths are 3 ft, 6 ft, 12 ft, 25 ft, and 50 ft. You can generally push an ethernet cable out to 90 meters (about 290 ft) from the switch or router.

alright dude
#1: why ps3. it sucks, but thats my opinion
#2: option one is to go wireless. get a wireless router and a wireless media adapter. it'll cost you around or $150 or more. depends on what router you get. the media adapter is 100.
#3 option 2 is to get a longer ethernet cable. common sizes are 50 or 25 ft. they go up to 100 as for what i know. and as low as 3 ft.
i suggest a longer cable. the wireless stuff is too expensive even though you dont have the hassle of the wires. so i use a 50 ft cable for my 360. good luck

2 Options:
1) Buy a longer Ethernet cable
2) Buy a wireless router (may cost a little more, but saves wiring hassles)

Your router is given a undeniable volume of Mbps. So whilst purely the PS3 is on, it gets all the bandwidth, and whilst the pc is on it must be cut as much as the two gadgets. superb thank you to restoration it is get a extra physically powerful Mbps out of your ISP.
