Nah. That was the right answer, as long as it was honest. Of course, whether or not it's offensive depends on how long you've known each other or been an item and her degree of sensitivity to the objectification of women's bodies.

not really, but you should have said at least wear one piece, and tell her she had two choices, the upper piece or the bottom piece!
