Everybody knows that fact and opinion are different things. Almost no one realizes that they use opinions in place of fact most of the time.

It's from physcology 101. The majority of the time people answer questions with opinions instead of facts. Just like this question.

It is my opinion that drunks are totally worthless individuals. Now I realize that there are probably alcoholics out there that lead very productive lives, and contribute quite a bit to society. So you could probably say that the opinion I hold is incorrect, but I still think drunks are worthless individuals. Sorry, it's just one of my hangups.

This is a trick question. If you had an opinion, you could never admit that it was incorrect because it is your opinion.
Wikipedia:
"An opinion is a person's ideas and thoughts towards something. It is an assessment, judgment or evaluation of something. An opinion is not a fact, because opinions are either not falsifiable, or the opinion has not been proven or verified. If it later becomes proven or verified, it is no longer an opinion, but a fact."

I'm sure I have incorrect 'facts' in my head, but I can tell fact from opinion.

It is of my opinion that unless the person receives adverse information, they will not be able to admit they are wrong and even then it's a crap shoot.
