CO2 is 30% higher than it has been for 650,000 years. Methane is 130% greater. These are two of the main pollutants humans put into the atmosphere in excess, and they are two of the primary greenhouse gases.
Look at the 'hockeystick', which shows a dramatic warming since 1950 after a fairly stable climate for 1000 years. In fact, the 10 hottest years in recorded history have all happened since 1990, with 2005 being the hottest.
(see links below)
How's that for proof of man's fault in this? There is ample proof, any real scientist will tell you that.
There has NEVER been an article doubting man's influence on global warming published in a peer-reviewed journal. A recent study of almost 1000 proved that.
Yes, the earth naturally heats and cools, but the rate and amount we are warming now is unprecedented in the recent geologic past. We are doing this, and we must stop it. This is not some political statement or rhetoric. This is science trying to educate a crass, ignorant public of the damage they are doing. The magnitude of temperature increase ALREADY is about 10x that of the 'little ice age' of the middle ages, and rate and amount are only going up.
Just to be clear, glacial and interglacial cycles are mainly controlled by astronomical fluctuations, but we have a detailed record of the last 7 cycles, and what the climate and CO2 is doing now is way different and extreme. The rate of increase is much higher than in the past AND the value itself is much higher.

Since the latest warming (there have been many in the past) began in the 1930's, BEFORE we started producing more CO2, it's rather illogical to think that we caused it. In addition, the most abundant "greenhouse gas" is water, not CO2, which is a miniscule part of our atmosphere. "Water accounts for about 90% of the Earth's greenhouse effect. ... humans might be responsible for 25% of the total accumulated atmospheric carbon, thus 0.25 x 0.1 = 0.025 x 100 = 2.5% of the total greenhouse effect."
See "The Great Global Warming Swindle" video documentary at google video, and go to junkscience.com to see the flaws in the theory that it's man-made. So many scientists make their living on "global warming" that it's very hard to question it without becoming unemployed.
Lastly, remember that science does NOT work "by consensus" but by arguing facts and data. "Consensus" has made many blunders: telling us that Piltdown Man was our ancestor; telling us margarine was better for us than butter; telling us that bacteria cannot live in our stomach; etc. These were all consensuses, and all spectacularly wrong.
The earth IS warming, but it's more probable that it's due to the sun. (Mars has been warming at the same time, but I don't see SUVs there.)

The earth has been warming and cooling since time began. It makes sense that sun activity would have an impact on our planet. It also makes sense for us to try to have as little impact on the environment as possible, without having to go live in a cave or something.

YES!!!!
Waterprof surfaces, drainage, canalised rivers, deforestation, overpumping of underground water, agricultures practices and so on...
All this activities make drylands and enlargement of deserts .
When the ground is dry the temperature increase under sun rays and then air temperature increase too.
The vegetation become rare and the co2 recycling diminuishes.
The solution of globale warming is to irrigate the planete with runoff water.

Yes it is because the sun switches between two phases every so many years. (I'm not sure how many years.) In one phase, the solar energy is at a maximum, and we receive more solar radiation, producing more heat. At other times, the solar energy is at a mininmum, and we receive less solar radiation. So yes, your theory is possible, but also global warming is man-made. According to scientists, an increase in greenhouse gasses is the main increase in global warming, and the burning of fossil fuels (done by humans) is the main cause of this. So yes global warming is man-made, but your theory is correct as well.
Hope that helped =)

If 95% of the climatologists agree that global warming is real and is definitely caused by human activity, who are we (and politicians, for that matter) to say otherwise?
Do we ignore 95% of scientists in any other topic? It's so ludicrous that people are still in denial.

Yep, changes in the sun's output powers the climatic cycle here on Earth (and on the other planets in our system too).
Humankind does not (yet) have the power to pollute the Earth's weather systems into malfunction..short of global thermonuclear war...

Maybe, maybe not, but consider this: In 1920 wheat was selling for $2.20/bushel. During the 20's, approximately 250,000 sq miles of grasslands in the middle part of America was plowed up to produce wheat. In the 30's, the "Dust Bowl" came. The land was ruined, and temperatures and the environment was changed dramatically in the whole eastern part of the USA. By this time, you couldn't grow wheat in the Dust Bowl.
Man-Made? Maybe, maybe not.
