The spouse who is the US citizen would have to apply for the non citizen to become a resident. This can take a minimum of 6 months. Then the greencard holder would have a shorter waiting period 3 years, vs. 5 years for a resident who did not receive their green card through marriage, an application to become a U.S citizen can be sent in.
If the aforementioned children are those of the US citizen, they will be considered U.S. citizens. If they were bron overseas, the parents would have to take them to the US embassy in that country along with the marriage license and their birth certificates which would show the U.S. citizen as a parent to get them their passports.
If they are NOT the biological children, they would have to go through the same process as the non resident spouse.

no, they do not get any automatic citizenship, and in fact are suppose to get a special visa to be in the US to get married.

They will still have to apply for citizenship and go though the process, it can take years to complete.

You will need to contact the INS as to where to start and normaly a immigration attorney will help speed the process along

it's not true. Anyone who marries a US citizen still has to apply for a visa.

Nope..they have to apply. It's your choice to either become a citizen or not.
