They:

- cry when they're happy.
- get angry when they're sad.
- are silent when they have something to say.
- argue a point even though they've forgotten how the discussion started
- wait for >you< to chase them down when they want some intimate attention
- wear shoes so unstable they can barely walk, only to complain that their feet hurt and need to sit down.
- wear clothing so fabric deficient you wonder if they use double-sided tape to keep their breasts from flinging out in all imaginable directions under the pressure build-up.

Anyone have anymore they'd like to add?

Viva la difference!
Men think linearly, women think globally. (Ever opened a socio-biology book?)
Both need each other to make a whole, and to create new life.
Please learn to celebrate the differences, not to condemn them. You'll be a lot happier and so will the women in your life.

People continue to make generalizations about the genders, and I don't get why I so often feel like the only person in the world who has seen that you cannot generalize about individuals of either gender.

Still, in answer to your particular question:

Women may be more complex when it comes to crying. It has nothing to do with logic. If men use crying only for being sad women have more uses it. That's being more complex, not less logical.

Getting angry when sad? Men often do that too. Not all women get angry when they're sad.

Being silent when they have something to say? Not all women are. Many men, however, do this too.

Argue a point.......? This is another thing some women may do but so may some men. Not all women do this either.

Wait for "attention": This is they're sexuality and not a matter of logic.

Wear shoes......? Some women can wear shoes that don't appear very sensible and be quite comfortable in them. Some women refuse to wear shoes that aren't sensible. Its a minority that will wear difficult shoes and complain about it. This isn't a matter of logic. Its a matter of wanting to look and feel feminine (which actually is quite logical after all - in view of the fact that a woman is a woman).

Wear clothing.........build up"? In spite of what the Academy Awards show may have you believe, most women don't wear the clothing you describe (or at least not to the extreme as you describe it). Even so, this is not a matter of logic either. This is a matter of an attempt to be attractive.

Finally, for anyone who thinks women do not operate on logic, the fact is this just isn't true. There are probably many times when men and other women don't understand the logic a woman uses or don't even recognize it as logic, but logic is not something that is exclusive to men; in fact, I know of some women who are far more skilled at using complex logic than some men are.

There is a saying the pertains basically to women-I'm so happy I could cry. Crying is a great release of emotions; for men it is sex. (in general)
Women speak in codes, where a man get down and get dirty do to speak, you know, cuts to the chase.
Most women are silent because they expect you to pick up on things quicker and it doesn't always work that way.
Argue the point is very typical, a man says is problem gets and answer and that is that; while on the other hand a woman talks things to death. When a woman waits for you to make the first move, she wants to make sure it is her you are choosing. Plus some still believe it is the lady like thing to do.
About that shoe thing, I say wear shoes to fit the occasion; I mean you wouldn't run a marathon in your six-inch spikes.
Where I live we have this show called "So You Think You Can Dance (old hat to you most likely) and yes her boobs did come flinging out. Perhaps she should change her brand of band-aids.

First of all, that is a mass generalization of woman. Not all woman possess the traits that you have listed. Secondly, understand that woman are still trying to learn where they fit in. 50 years ago most woman were stay at home moms with no careers, they were expected to keep quiet and look pretty. Now, with all the advances and strides that woman have made( We are making more money, we are more educated...etc.) the world is finally recognizing woman for the Intelligent beings that we are, however, old habits die hard. Some woman still have trouble expressing themselves to men, for fear that they and maybe their ideas will be rejected, and thus remain silent even when they have something to say. As far as the clothing issue understand that woman are still judged heavily on how they look, unfortunatley if woman could get their point across in jeans and T-shirts they would, but since the world does not work like that they must still dress and act a certain way. In response to the men chasing woman comment, underdstand that alot of woman still carry the 1950's idea of love, which basically says that it is unladylike to approach a man for any desire.

I hope I have giving you some insight as to why some of us are the way we are.

Well, neither - if faced with two women with severe personality flaws, I would be much happier simply being single. But I assume that you're trying to ask which is worse - in which case I would probably say that I could tolerate the logically consistent but stonefaced one better than the insane basketcase.

They're not. A woman may be illogical, as a man may be. But women are not. Neither are men.

Why do you keep trying to spread broad generalizations that aren't true?

It's pretty pathetic, and it's hurting your credibility (You can look that word up in the dictionary ;) ).

because many men are morons, while others are simply clueless.

Women are not illogical, just extremely complicated.

If you aren't willing to commit vast amounts of your precious time to learning to appreciate a certain woman. I'm sorry but the right answer will always be elusive to you.

cheers babe!!!

It's just a different way to look at life.

From the female perspective it all makes perfect sense.

But, they're a package deal. You want the good? Ya gotta take the bad. And, so do they.

Look at it this way, if they thought just like us, they would be men. And, I don't know about you, but I don't roll that way!

Tell me. Who do you notice more: the girl in tennis shoes, or the girl in high heels? What about the girl whose all covered-up versus the girl in the halter top and miniskirt? I understand, you're a guy, and your hormones make you want anything that walks, so you probably notice both. But, if your girlfriend never dresses scantily, I bet you wish she would. We probably cry because if we don't dress like hookers our guys will be disappointed and want us to. We have to totally degrade ourselves to keep from being cheated on. We are silent when we have something to say because we know the guy we want to talk to about it (our husbands or boyfriends) don't give a crap and are probably just going to tell us they don't want to hear it and don't care. That is why we are the way we are.

While I know plenty of women who govern their lives and make decisions based on emotion, there are plenty who DON'T. I'm NOT silent when I have something to say, and I hate wearing heals, but in order to look professional at work, it is necessary to wear some kind of heal. It sounds like you WANT to see women like this - as inferior - to make yourself feel good. You probably forget any examples of women who are not like that, just so you can maintain your sexist views and feel better about yourself.

Women are not illogical, they just let their emotions show. Men also argue over a point that probably means nothing much in the long run. I don't get angry when sad, but my son does and he's a grown man.
My husband used to say " If God created anything better than a woman, he kept it for himself".
