Should the US annex all of North and south america?

Every boidy is trying to sneak in here because it stinks every where else,I guessanyway Ipropose we expand and take over all the land from the artic circle to the carribean including jamaica. and raise the living standards in the backwards countries kick out the dictators like chavez and castro and allow self government, We could make use of the natural resources and expand the tax base and have some extra land for all these new immigrants

I think it's a great idea. As the EU has shown, the world is consolidating. For strategic purposes, what a large-scale annexation could do to real estate and lending markets would be absolutely profound. Additionally, the assimilation of labor forces between present-day North and South America would work wonders in countering the economic advantage that low-wage and slave labor gives to countries like China (and even the EU).

And imagine what the taxes of the productive citizens would have to be to support all those on welfare in the other countries.
