I would say you need to check with your doctor as soon as you are able. Yes, your heart works harder when you are pregnant, BUT if it works too hard it's dangerous for you and the baby. I have a close friend who is having heart troubles during her pregnancy. She is 5 months and has seen the cardiologist and has been put on meds for it. Your doctor is the only one who can say for sure if it's okay or not!!! Good luck!!!

When you start to put more weight on you put extra stress on your heart. I would imagine that it's normal to a certain extent as long as you're not having any other symptoms, but to me just having my heart beat like that is normal. I have SVT so my resting heart rate is usually around 110-120 so I feel that alot. Ask your doctor to be sure though.

This happened to me one weekend and it was enough to bring me to TEARS! Don't worry...your heart has to beat more because of the increase of blood volume and increased oxygen demands on all of your organs and your baby.
It gets much better...I couldn't even sleep sometimes my heart was beating so fast!
