In todays baseball preview in the New York Post, they have predictions for both the New York Mets and New York Yankees.

In the Yankees section it says "The Yankees will finish 92-70 and defeat the Phillies in the World Series.

In the Mets section it says "The Mets will finish 93-69 and lose to the Red Sox in the World Series"

I was unaware that the world series was played twice.

Jersy Joe, please, give me a break. The New York Post is nothing more than the National Enquirer with a few pages about sports. That newspaper is always pathetic, thus why I refuse to by it, a copy of it happened to be laying here at work today, that paper is impossible to read.

I realize thats it different writers, but its just stupid to have that in print, the Daily News had much better predictions today.

ROTFLMAO. That's the worst newspaper of all times. You should read the Daily News. That's the newspaper that I used to read when I lived in New York.

The Mets' writer has one possible outcome for the Series, while the Yankees' writer has another. Media outlets often print more than one prediction -- better chance of someone being right that way.

If you want to argue that New York writers sometimes think the world revolves around the teams, I won't disagree. It's tough to think the Mets have enough starting pitching to make it all the way this season. But anything's possible -- ask the Detroit Tigers.

Phillies?
World Series?
In which century?

The worst paper in Philly is the Daily News. What a rag. It would be too much of an honor to use it for lining the bottom of a bird cage.

Phillies in the World Series. At least the Post has a sense of humor.

Thats funny. I'm guessing they are saying that if the Yankees made it to the World Series that would be the out come, and if they Mets made it to the World Series that would the out come. But that is funny, and it is pretty much the stupidest newpaper ever.

A. The New Post has been posting both Yankees and Mets World Series possibilities for years.

B. You should be happy that they even considered the Mets for the world series considering that pitching staff will be lucky to even win the wild card.

C. The New York Post the most respected newspaper on the planet. Had you actually took the time to "read" the article carefully you would have seen all it had to say.

Its a newspaper that loves to be a tabloid.

Must have been an advance copy of the April Fools issue. But then, isn't every day April Fools day for the Post?
