I'm tired of buying vegetation killers and having to re-apply them several times a year. I want this grass and weeds DEAD! I am never going to want growth between my pathway cracks, or between my patio bricks, etc. seems so redundant to keep spraying over and over. I want a more pernament fix. Is there anything more powerful to use? Something that destroys grass/weeds forever?

Certain weeds must be killed during their growing season, so in summer, when the weeds are actively growing, then spray them with a non-selective herbicide, like RoundUp (glyphosate). This chemical does not control or kill weed SEEDS however.

A pre-emergent chemical also can control new weed seeds from sprouting, and you will need to apply it before the weeds appear.

Get a garden center to identify the weed and the proper chemical to control it.

Good luck! Cheers!

There's only one way and you need two things.
One is spray them with a one week eventual root killer. Sprayed on the surfaces, this should work its way down and get ride of most of them

Second, do what professional gardeners, and I was one, have always done.
A. Buy heavy professional black thick-mill plastic.
B. Remove everything except the weeds which should have been lessened, in the area you want weed free.
C. Leave the heavy plastic secured in place for two weeks.
D. Remove the plastic and replace it with fresh plastic if the maker recommends that.
E. Buy bark, small rocks, whatever it takes, and cover the heavy black plastic, onto which you've placed paving stones, bricks or whatever you still want.want, until you've hidden the black completely.
F. This is the only permanent solution to your area problem.
Good luck.

I don't know of any product that kills them forever, but Ortho makes some stuff called Triox that makes the ground sterile for around a year and nothing at all will grow there.

the simple truth is that if you decide you WANT the stuff to grow there, it won't. It just boggles the mind how vegetation will grow in unwanted places but if you really want a part of yard green...it will stay bare for years!!!

well you can but you have to have a certification to buy the good stuff. what you want is something that has a high persistance. if it wasnt cracks i would say salt the earth that usually kills everything. but you may have to talk to a certified sprayer to really get rid of them permenantly
