I'll answer this for you the same as it was answered for me, then you decide.
Friend: Who loves you more than anyone else in the world?
Me: My mom.
Friend: Would your mom ever send you to a place where you'd burn forever, even if you did something really, really bad?
Me: Well, no.
Friend: Then what makes you think that a God who is ever caring, gentle, and loving would want one of "His children" to suffer this fate?
This friend was a gentle, kind and wise lady. Her message has stayed with me since that day she shared her feelings, and no, I do not believe "MY GOD" would do that to me or anyone.
