Get your quads as big as you can. Punting is a lot more about hight of the kick than distance and placement a long kick that has little hang time is ineffective because the returner can get a big return. Practice more on a 40 or so yard punt that goes out of bounds... or a line drive out of bounds punt if you can nail that down you have a good shot.

I know what you have to do to train to be a Punter I know well what you have to do cuz I myself Used to be a Punter also and I used to have to train to be a Better Punter and what I had to do to train to be a Punter was I had to Obviously strenthen My Leg by lifting weights with my legs but I ALSO had to Obvously had to Practice Kicking/Punting the Ball while at the same time learning how to catch the Football the correct way from the Long Snapper and I had to do that So much for many many days until I was as good as I wanted to be as a Punter and I wanted to be punting the Ball as fart as I wanted to be Punting the Ball.

alot of leg lifts will help,but as a punter you cant lose flexability either,lay on your back and lift one leg in the air and move it in a circular motion(kind of like an arm circle for your legs),also stretch out and build muscle in your calf muscle,and keep in mind dont just work out on your punting leg,anything done must be done equally or you could cause damage to your legs when doing simple things like jogging and stretching, Flexability is number one,then strength,and then being able to aim the ball,well good luck with being a punter

Just run alot. That way when the REAL football players on your team try to kick your @$$, you can get away.
