Hi there,

The easiest way to get rid of the Molson's Muscle is to stop or drastically reduce your beer intake. The amount of sugars and other carbs in beer really pack on the pounds in excess. I know, I know, I can hear you screaming and whining now..."What? No beer?". LOL. You may want to limit how much beer you drink or try switching to hard alcohol. Grain alcohols do not pack on the pounds. Period. If you mix them with sugary pops and juices then ya, you will gain weight. I am not a beer drinker per se (Scotch or Irish Whisky man meself) but I completely understand the ice cold beer on a hot summer's day concept.

I know some people will chime in advocating that you need to exercise and eat a low fat diet. If it helps any, I lost 50-55 pounds simply by stopping my sugar intake and by limiting the amount and type of carbs I ate. And exercise....NONE. Yes, I do a lot of walking and I like to ride me bike in the summer but that's it. I'm not a gym person and I dislike "working out" for "working out" sake. Yes, I love to be physical and I enjoy many outdoor activities (which I'm starved for right now!) but you won't see me in a gym working out on me own free accord anytime soon. Now that I'm slender again and have kept the weight off for 4 years I do occasionally eat the stuff I stopped but I'm smart about how much I do injest. Remember, cutting back does not mean never again; it means, just for now.

Cheers.

My first thoughts are to drink lite beer or stop drinking it all together. Other than that, keep yourself active. Exercise, take a walk, do crunches, situps, pushups, etc. Don't just sit in front of the tv drinking a beer. If you don't have a dog, get one. You could take it for a walk around the block every evening after dinner. It would help your food settle and you won't be miserably full. That could help reduce the size of your belly too. If none of this works, then think of your health and your family. Do you want alcohol to ruin your liver? If it affects your liver enough, then you can die from it. It's called cirrhosis of the liver. Go to the link in the source box for more information about it...how you get it, how to treat it, etc. It affects you and your family. Do you want your wife to raise your children as a single mother because their father died from cirrhosis? I don't know how much you actually drink. cirrhosis usually affects heavy drinkers. But even a light drink now and then can cause problems with the liver. Be careful and think how your drinking affects everyone, not just yourself.

you must burn more calories than u take in. eat 4 balanced meals a day. Walk, walk, walk. U wld b surprised at hw much a 30 min daily walk will do. Let's cut out some junk. Keep the beer, give up the wings. Cut out bread. U get plenty of grains from other sources.
No more soda. even diet sodas turn into fat. Keep the beer... give up junk!

For one, stop drinking beer, and start eating a healthier diet and exercising. Effective maintenance of weight loss isn't going to be done without the other, that being exercise which most Americans don't seem to want to do.

Well, what are you doing now?

Try joining and gym and working out 3 times a week. Start from there and see how you are in 2-3 months.

lay off the liquor, and start a workout regime. get a few pals to go to the gym with you... or, buy Tony Little's Gazelle. Its is amazing. Its like cross country skiing. Its low impact, but great results. When you go to a gym or docotors, ask what exercises would be best.
