I could NOT even HOPE to offer you even a "BALL PARK FIGURE", as to the salary that you could expect, for the job, THESE days, - as I HELD my "JUNIOR BUYER" position, after leaving College, - and, THAT was more years ago, than I CARE to REMEMBER! The Company, - actually, - THOUGHT, that, - as a SEVENTEEN YEAR OLD, - I was just a "MONKEY", - so, I was PAID the proverbial "PEANUTS"! I was working HARD, - sometimes, (even at THAT age), I was working more than FOURTEEN HOURS a DAY! Let me warn you, against THAT kind of EXPLOITATION, myy friend!

The job, that I HAD, entailed spending a lot of time, at my DESK, - talking, with SUPPLIERS, by phone, - negotiating PRICES, and DELIVERY of goods, or services, - meeting REPS, from other Companies, - all, that kind of thing! But, - above ALL, - it needs a person, who is MATURE enough, to ACCEPT, - and, to CARRY OUT, efficiently, - any INSTRUCTIONS, that are propounded, by his/her more SENIOR colleague!

For THAT reason, above all, I think that, - these days, - such a post is UNSUITABLE, for a school-leaver, - because, MANY of them, feel the "NEED" to "STRIKE OUT", - or to "REBEL", - against any form of what THEY feel is "AUTHORITY"! However, - at TWENTY-EIGHT, - I think, that you SHOULD have come THROUGH that stage, by now, - and, IF NOT, - WHY NOT?

Such a post would be, - I should think, - ABSOLUTELY IDEAL, for someone, of YOUR AGE! You just GO FOR IT, my friend!

And, may I wish you the VERY BEST OF LUCK, with whatever you do! TAKE CARE, NOW!
