Maybe I should look up "bondage" in a dictionary before I ask, since I'm from africa and europe

The word bondage means to prohibit or not allowed to let you do something. Examples would be...I would be in bondage if I went to jail, or a slave to something which could be drugs,alcohol, women...etc. Here's a website that you can check out on the word. What it has to do with the State of Virginia I don't know.
