How will the AFC West finish in 2008? Why?
1. Denver- Good free agent signing; Jay Cutler is a year older
2. San Diego- Lost head coach, offensive coordinator, defensive coordinator; LT enough to finish 2nd
3. Kansas City- Johnson is good, but needs help
4. Oakland- There's a reason they have the 1st pick...

Why ask a question when you obviously have all the answers?

Your predicitons seem about right. Although, as a Raider fan, I have a hope they can get out of the cellar this season.

1. San Diego: Lost coaches but I still think they will be a power house in the AFC. Did not lose any key players (only Edwards but he was getting old). LT is the man. Need to improve their receivers and defensive backs as they let them down in the playoffs.

2. Denver: Like their offseason moves, but I don't think it will be enough to win the AFC west as Jay Cutler will still make game changing mistakes.

3. Kansas City: Not sold on Huard as a QB. Larry Johnson is good but they lack play makers on defense to compete.

4. Oakland: They will continue to be in the basement in 2007. I cannot see Russell or Johnson making a quick difference for this team. They need to figure out their problems with their offensive line. Defense is improving but offense needs to put up some points.

1. San Diego - regardless of all the coaching changes, San Diego still has the defensive fire-power to dominate this division. Merriman is possibly the best linebacker in the AFC.

2. Denver - Cutler is going to have to step up and lead this team. They have some defense issues but they are still a solid team.

3. KC - Damon Huard in at QB is not going to be pretty for KC. Unless they pick up a better QB in the draft, I don't see them doing very well this season.

4. OAK - Even with a QB like Russell or Quinn, the Raiders will continue to struggle. The addition of Dominic Rhodes will definitely take some pressure off of LaMont Jordan but Moss and Porter have to start acting right...

I agree with your selections, but the raiders might be a surprise team kinda like the Saints this past year.
