Your disdain for motorcyclists is dually noted.
Do you really want to know why so many of us "big bad retards" have loud pipes and exhausts on our bikes? It's so that narrow-minded and road-rage infuriated idiots like YOU don't run us over!
Did you ever stop to think that as long as you can hear a motorcycle coming, then you're less likely to catch that rider in your blind spot and take him/her out? Understand one thing, you're surrounded by tons of metal, plastic, and foam...with a seatbelt on (at least if you're remotely intelligent), possibly an airbag or two, etc., between you and the poor fool you ran into. A motorcycle rider doesn't have that luxury, and will likely get hurt if they make a mistake...or if some moron with his head in the clouds cuts him off all of a sudden.
So, you're just going to have to deal with loud pipes, and WE'RE just going to have to deal that loud pipe of a mouth that you so arrogantly run. Next time you see a "big retarded Harley rider" parked next to you, why don't you get out of your vehicle, walk over to the rider, and slap him in the back of the head? Let's see how tough you talk while you're getting the $%!& kicked out of you in the middle of a busy intersection!
Punk!

I never forgot a ticket I received years ago called "unnecesary noise" in my low compression 70's v8 car with the convertor still intact (still a quiet engine). The irony of the sutuation was a Harley retard that went by with open pipes during me getting ticketed. Is legislation for true emissions scared of the big bad retard on a Harley (and "ricer"s)?
the main cause is of more tarbulence at the end of combustion.thr mixture is rich and dissipate more heat and cause more loud.

It appears that Harley retards don't like being called Harley retards. Now, while there are perhaps SOME genuine bad a$$es scooting around on Harleys, the majority I've seen look to me like some pretty rich retired folk, or doctors and lawyers, by no means retarded or big and bad. There's nothing wrong with buying expensive equipment; if you can afford it, enjoy it. Just don't do it at the expensive of those around you, keep your ride's noise to a minimum.
As for the dumb---- who got off with just a warning, you are the actual retard of this discussion. Obnoxious pricks who tee-hee their way through life are responsible for entirely too much damage. I sincerely hope you learn your place before you hurt somebody.
No matter how much of a "bad a$$ rebel" you think you are, your life isn't worth more than anyone elses. The laws really are there for a reason.

My husband was on his harley and got a ticket for wearing a novelty helment. After an exchange of words the cop would not let him back on his bike so he had to walk and leave his harley beside the road. Harley riders get plenty of tickets too.

I may or may not get away with loud pipes, but I love the sound! I'll stick with my V & H Shortshots. I've never had a problem with law or others over the sound.

I'm not up to speed on the facts so I shouldn't even be answering, but what the hell.
There are rumblings (pardon the expression) that that will be a thing of the past.
I've heard something about aftermarket pipes no longer being allowed....but don't quote me on that one. I might have the story all backwards.

dont be so sure of that nowadays. more and more localities and what not is clampin down on more than just bikes with straight pipes, but boom cars, jake brakes, ect.
the idea of loud pipes saves lives would have held water with me back in the 70's or very early 80's. now it doesnt. cars are so sound insulated today that its a miracle that those that would turn left in front of us, just misses that ambulance that rolled by on a call.
bikes can and do get ticketed for straight pipes. daytona and other rally points are starting to be very strict with the straight pipes. i can see having the scoot slightly louder than what is usually stock, but not havin pipes that can be heard at least a mile or 2 away. usually, the idiots crackin on the gas for no reason is the 1's that become a cop magnet in a hurry.
but like 1 guy said....if u cagers were to put the dam phone down and pay attention to the road like we do, i would be willing to bet that there wouldnt be many street bikes with straight pipes. until that happens, live with it...ur not at ground zero long enough for it to really be a problem. the rider will soon regret havin straight pipes when his hearing is totalled.

They only get away when the police are turning a blind eye or aren't around. Noise regulations are for motorcycles too.
How long was it that you got away with your loud v8?

Why so ready to get into bed with Big Brother, anyhow?
