Do yo think Microsoft should start releasing games on HD DVD disks for the 360?

Hard to say, Microsoft from day one said it does not want to force people into paying for the HD drive. I think sooner or later they will have to once the PS3 starts taking off like most expect it to. With 50 gigs of space available to PS3 game developers on a dual layer Blu Ray disk, just think of the possibilities for the new games.

I think it is only a matter of time before Microsoft releases a 360 with the HD drive included but how they will transition to using HD DVDs for games (if they ever do) is a mystery to me.

*****Edit: I agree with you 100 percent catadbolg_80. I know the elite will not have the HD drive but I see some sort of bundle being introduce either directly from microsoft or and incentive from retailers (buy the 360 and the external drive together and maybe you will get a better deal or something.) I also agree that the games should eventually go to HD but that would contradict everything Microsoft has been saying from day one on the matter.

that would be nice... except the 360 cannot read HD discs. You'll need to drop the extra $200 on the external HD/dvd drive.

Also the 360 elite/zeyphr or whatever it's called will not have a HD drive because "the format is not proven" according to game Informer magazine. despite the fact it was on the market first the Blu-ray is outselling it (possibly because the PS3 is built around it)

what I want to know is if the games aren't going to be put in the higher Definition graphics catagory, how can the 360 last when the PS3 gets around to making games worth playing?

No, they will not. They have repeatedly said they will not allow this because it will fragment their community. That is why the Xbox 360 Elite does not have one built in.
