...So....in privacy settings I uncheck the box that says "Friend Requests - Require email or last name" and still when someone wants to add me it ruquires email or last name...and sometimes it just doesn't

The best thing you can do, is contact Myspace. You could also check it, then uncheck it and click refresh to make sure it's not checked. I have it checked as well, those spammers and hackers are a pain.

Myspace was created by a Spam company and sold to a major corporation. It's in their best interest to make the site look more active and interlinked than it really is. As a result, they sometimes let friend requests go through regardless of your settings to increase the overall links in the network.

The people sending the requests that DO go through probably have a business or advertising tie with myspace.

try doing it again then log out and log back in, sometimes thats all it takes, and sometimes it takes a whole day. I had that problem too. Make sure after you check the box you hit save changes.

I use it now since half the people on my list are people I know and I use it to deter spammers and underage users from contacting me.
